Sasha A. Klein, is an Associate in the law
firm of Comiter, Singer, Baseman & Braun, LLP.
She devotes her practice to the area of wills,
trusts and estates, focusing in the areas of estate, gift and
generation-skipping transfer tax issues and estate and trust administration,
as well as asset protection and business succession planning.
Sasha assists individuals and families with
developing appropriate estate plans to maximize and protect the client’s
wealth for future generations. She drafts documents to carry out these
estate plans and explains the documents and estate plans to the clients in
an understandable manner. In addition, Sasha is specializing in developing
estate plans that encompass solutions to tax issues and non-tax issues
facing same sex couples and same sex individuals.
Sasha’s experience includes implementing
advanced estate planning techniques, including irrevocable life insurance
trusts, family limited partnerships, defective grantor trusts, grantor
retained annuity trusts, and qualified personal residence trusts to achieve
the clients’ tax and non-tax objectives. She also assists clients in asset
protection by recommending and implementing plans that involve entities such
as family limited partnerships, limited liability companies, and irrevocable
trusts.
Sasha also handles all aspects of estate
and trust administrations, including advising clients on post mortem
techniques and the preparation of the federal estate tax return.
In addition, Sasha assists clients with
charitable planning, including drafting documents to create not-for-profit
corporations, exempt organizations (501(c)(3)’s), charitable lead trusts and
charitable remainder trusts.
Mrs. Klein received an L.L.M., Masters in
Taxation from the University of Florida College of Law. She earned her Juris
Doctorate and Law and Business Certificate from Vanderbilt University Law
School, where she served as President of the Law and Business Society and
the Jewish Law Students Association.
Mrs. Klein graduated summa cum laude from
the University of Florida. Mrs. Klein published her thesis, "Privacy on the
Internet," 2000-2001, for University of Florida's Scholars Program. During
her tenure at the University, she was a member of numerous social, legal and
honor society's. Mrs. Klein studied International Finance, the Multinational
Corporation and Managerial Economics in London, England.
Mrs. Klein is admitted to practice in
Florida and the District of Columbia.
She is a member of the Florida Bar Tax
Section and Real Property, Probate and Trust Section, The Palm Beach Chapter
of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers (FAWL), Palm Beach County Tax
Institute, Palm Beach Estate Planning Council and the American Bar
Association (ABA) Real Property Trust and Estate Section and Tax Section. In
addition, Sasha has been selected to be a Fellow for Real Property Trust and
Estate Section of the ABA.
She is also was co-founder and on the Board
of Directors for PureHealth, Inc., a not-for-profit corporation supporting
children charities nationwide. |
