About Ms. Van Veen
Anya Van Veen is an experienced probate, trust, and guardianship attorney whose practice focuses on complex litigation and appellate matters arising from contested probate, trust, and guardianship proceedings. Anya has been involved in a wide range of trust, probate, and guardianship appeals, including appeals from will contests, fiduciary litigation, guardianship litigation, disputes arising out of creditor claims, breach of duty claims, and homestead disputes. In addition to her litigation and appellate practice, Anya regularly handles probate administration, advising fiduciaries and beneficiaries and helping clients navigate the legal and procedural aspects of estate administration.
Anya earned her undergraduate degree from the University of California, San Diego, where she studied linguistics and was a member of the crew team. She received her law degree from Washington University School of Law, where she served on the Washington University Law Quarterly, interned with the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri, and worked with the United Nations Development Fund in Nepal.
Before joining Comiter Singer, Anya practiced for more than a decade at boutique probate, trust, and guardianship law firms in Palm Beach Gardens. She is admitted to practice law in Florida and California.
