About Ms. Rice
Elizabeth Alexandra “Alex” Rice is an associate at Comiter Singer, where she focuses her practice on estate planning, taxation, and wealth transfer planning. She advises individuals and families on a range of estate and tax planning matters.
Alex earned her Bachelor of Arts, summa cum laude, from the University of Florida in 2020. She received her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Stetson University College of Law in 2025 and her LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Florida Levin College of Law in 2026.
During law school, Alex served as both a member and Administrative Assistant of Stetson’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Board. She captained the winning team at the 2023 Southwestern Negotiation Competition and was named a Regional Co-Champion in the 2024–2025 American Bar Association Negotiation Competition.
In recognition of her achievements and service during J.D., Alex received the Florin Roebig Outstanding Advocate in Dispute Resolution Award, the Professor Kelly Feeley Founders Award, the DR Board Award of Excellence, and the William F. Blews Pro Bono Service Award.
While pursuing her LL.M., Alex served as a Research Assistant to Dennis Calfee, assisting with updates to the Thomson Reuters Federal Estate and Gift Taxation volumes.
Alex was admitted to The Florida Bar in 2025 and is a member of its Tax, Real Property, Probate and Trust Law, and Young Lawyers Sections.
A lifelong Floridian, Alex enjoys traveling, gardening, birding, hiking, pickleball, and tennis.
