Mark R. Brown Named 2027 Gerald T. Hart Outstanding Tax Attorney of the Year Honoree

The Tax Section of The Florida Bar has named Comiter Singer Partner Mark R. Brown the 2026-2027 Gerald T. Hart Outstanding Tax Attorney of the Year Honoree. The announcement was made during the Tax Section’s 2026 Organizational Meeting at Omni Amelia Island. Brown will be formally honored at the Tax Section’s Annual Meeting in spring 2027.

The Gerald T. Hart Outstanding Tax Attorney of the Year Award is the Tax Section’s highest honor, recognizing an attorney whose career reflects exceptional leadership, service to the profession, and contributions to the practice of tax law.

Mark R. Brown has served the Tax Section of The Florida Bar in numerous leadership roles, including as Chair, reflecting a decades-long commitment to advancing the practice of tax law in Florida. He is one of only 26 attorneys in Florida who are Board Certified by The Florida Bar in both Tax Law as well as Wills, Trusts and Estates.
